About this artwork
One of a kind, cold-painted bronze sculpture.
I created this piece inspired by the thought that our secrets are carried away in flight through time. The horse is performing what is called in Classical Equitation, a CABRIOLE. Although in a perfect Cabriole, the front legs should not be extended, but bent. This sculpture inspires me to feel free from my secrets.

Laura Figueroa is a sculptor based in Mexico whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, France, Argentina, and the United States. Since horses have been her friends and teachers throughout her life, and have given her so much joy, sculpture is her way to honor them. Figueroa primarily creates in bronze, as she feels the material best represents the majestic animal, echoing its strength, endurance, power, and beauty.
