“Life is better in Flip Flops” is a work full of longing for freedom, summer and carefree lightness.
A turquoise-blue VW bus drives along a sandy road, flanked by the deep blue sea. Two dolphins accompany it in the water—a symbol of joy, vitality, and connection with nature.
The work combines painting with three-dimensional elements: texture paste, small, real stones, and a real model car lend the scene a three-dimensional effect and create a… bridge between reality and fantasy. The bus, a symbol of freedom and adventure, becomes an iconic companion through a world that invites dreams.
The work is part of the “Highway Stories” series, in which real model cars become part of the composition and thus tell stories that go beyond the picture.
This picture is an invitation to take life easy, take off your shoes and just set off – to where sun, sea and happiness await you!
