About this artwork
"Safe" is a painting about trust. A man and a woman hold each other in a close embrace – reduced to clear lines that nevertheless express everything: closeness, warmth, security. The gentle circle of beige and cream tones wraps itself around the figures like a protective space, as if the world outside stood still for a moment.
With "Safe," I wanted to capture what it feels like to be completely safe in the arms of a loved one. A place where no… words are necessary because the hug itself says it all.
The "Pure Lines" series demonstrates how much power can be contained in just a few strokes. Minimalism that makes emotions visible.

Laura Isabel Koch, shaped by the storms and sunshine of her life, studied painting and creative writing.
She skillfully masters the use of vibrant acrylic paints and mixed media elements, playing with color contrasts and creating works full of structure and depth. The artist's bold and often intuitive brushstrokes bring emotions to the canvas that touch the human heart and express hope, joy, and love.
Her works are exhibited internationally – including in New York, Paris, Dubai, Mallorca, Grenada, Berlin and Switzerland – but exhibitions in smaller towns in her Wetterau homeland are also close to her heart.
She regularly participates in international art competitions and calls for entries in order to continuously develop her work and maintain dialogue with the art scene.
