About this artwork
In this work, I drew on watercolor, felt-tip pen and Indian ink to create a dialogue between the figurative and surrealism, evoking a dreamlike symbiosis between humans and nature. The delicate contours of the character mingle with the vaporous and luminous hues, embodying a metaphor of ephemerality and renewal. This composition brings a soft, contemplative energy to any space, inviting poetic introspection.
Forest Creatures is a multidisciplinary… artistic project that aims to illustrate, through various artistic mediums such as drawing, poetry, performance and video, a cathartic process of healing from the collective trauma of the pandemic.
By rethinking their relationship with nature, the (post-)human female characters depicted in the drawings suddenly find themselves isolated, in a situation of uncertainty, marked by overwhelming fears, they seek their place and peace in the middle of the forest .
