The title FRSH is an onomatopoeic word for the word FRESH or FRESH. The picture appears fresh in the truest sense of the word, as it represents a gush of water, the droplets of which splash up in the foreground and transform the overall picture into something familiar but abstract. Laura Stadtegger is a painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, in Austria and in England. Fascinated by myths, archetypes and philosophy, she describes the recurring themes in her art as being messages that affect people all over the world. In Stadtegger's most recent compositions, she often begins her artisitc process by covering her canvases in a thick layer of white oil paint, into which she models her motifs with an almost sculptural manner.
