About this artwork
The view from my studio window shows the changing color of the leaves of the trees. The colors are intoxicating and especially when the wind blows through the leaves, the scene seems tremendously vivid.

Laura Stadtegger is a painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, in Austria and in England. Fascinated by myths, archetypes and philosophy, she describes the recurring themes in her art as being messages that affect people all over the world. In Stadtegger's most recent compositions, she often begins her artisitc process by covering her canvases in a thick layer of white oil paint, into which she models her motifs with an almost sculptural manner.
