About this artwork
Typhoon in ancient Greek mythology is the king of disorder. Isn't it also characteristic of war to threaten the order of the world with its brutality? Brutals are also natural forces, this is what all the paintings in this series portray. These warriors born of the black earth, half-men-half-beasts-half-rocks confront each other with fury but also with a kind of childishness. Black are the warriors, white are the dead, the space pale.
