About this artwork
The artist works with a very wide knife and adds marble powder as a filler to the acrylic which gives a very beautiful matte material. She always starts from a black background then the layers of color are superimposed while often keeping the trace of the previous layers, she scratches, erases then covers and so on...which leaves a lot of room for repentance. She works in energy and concentration but also in letting go, in a state of "flow", over…
time she learned to quickly find this optimal state for her creation.

« I wish that my pictures emerge from emotions. »
Laurence Moracchini is a French painter whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in China, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany. Her abstract figurative style allows for greater freedom in creation. Moracchini paints using acrylics mixed with marble powder, producing a matt texture. Her pieces are developed by overlapping layers, through gestures that are fast, energetic, and intuitive.
