What is immediately striking in this work are the material effects. Marble powder mixed with acrylic and applied with a knife in successive layers gives a thick and very matte material.

Laurence Moracchini is a French painter whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in China, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany. Her abstract figurative style allows for greater freedom in creation. Moracchini paints using acrylics mixed with marble powder, producing a matt texture. Her pieces are developed by overlapping layers, through gestures that are fast, energetic, and intuitive.
