About this artwork
"Remember" is part of the series of abstract landscapes, between figuration and abstraction. The gaze wanders around, lingers over details, believes it perceives something tangible there, then resumes its exploration of an imaginary landscape, as if idealized. There is a lot of serenity in Laurence's paintings.
The artist always works with a knife and uses acrylic and marble dust as mediums which give texture and mattness.
The edges of the frame… are painted light grey, so it is not essential to frame the work

« I wish that my pictures emerge from emotions. »
Laurence Moracchini is a French painter whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in China, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany. Her abstract figurative style allows for greater freedom in creation. Moracchini paints using acrylics mixed with marble powder, producing a matt texture. Her pieces are developed by overlapping layers, through gestures that are fast, energetic, and intuitive.
