About this artwork
This work evokes Exile, challenges and pays homage to the migrants, to the Women and Men crossed with emotion seeking relentlessly to reach England by borrowing the Channel Tunnel at the risk of their lives. A mixture of fear, suffering, love, hope and courage. Sadness, respect and humility.

« To be an artist is to possess an invincible force, breaking taboos in order to outline the light. »
Laurence Wagon is a French artist whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, and Germany. Her pictorial research is centered around femininity, the interiority of the beings, and abstraction in figuration. Wagon's desire to represent women appeared to her as a necessity and an essential language, as woman embodies combativeness, fragility, sensuality, and the very essence of creation. She creates with acrylics, adding elements of embroidery on canvas.
