About this artwork
Inner Violet is a work about emotions that do not ask for permission to exist. I created this portrait as a statement of inner freedom, where color becomes language and the gaze speaks beyond form. The flowing hair, built from repetitive rhythms, suggests thoughts in motion and continuous transformation. Violet and warm tones speak of sensitivity, intuition, and the courage to reveal one’s true self. For me, this piece is about the strength of vulnerability…

Laurentiu Dimisca is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and sculptor based in Romania who has exhibited his works nationally, in Switzerland, Italy, the United States, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, and France. As a narrative painter whose style is in the real of free figuration, Dimisca's compositions translate his own take on mythologies, as well as folk tales from his childhood. His vivid pieces are created using acrylics and pencils on canvas or cardboard.
