Rosenthal Block / Foreign Trade Bank - Monument Abandoned space
One of the prestigious buildings of Bucharest, the Rosenthal Block was built during the interwar period. Inaugurated in 1938 by the National Bank of Romania, under the supervision of the Chief Architect of the institution, Radu Dudescu, this building was meant to house the Retirement loans and aid of the BNR officials. The ground floor was reserved for leased commercial spaces which… for the first time are built on retired spaces to intoduce in Bucharest’s architecture the arches allowing the passage of the pedestrians.The name of the building comes from the store of the fine Rosenthal porcelain, situated in this location before the construction of the building. The post-communist period permanently marked the fate of this building.

As a narrative painter whose style is in the real of free figuration, Dimisca's compositions translate his own take on mythologies, as well as folk tales from his childhood. His vivid pieces are created using acrylics and pencils on canvas or cardboard.
