Casa Mincu - Monument Headquarters of the Romanian Order of Architects
The buildings first owner was the Romanian Post. Later in 1890, when it belonged to G. A. Burelli, it was sold to the architect Ion Mincu who is considered to be the father of the new Romanian architectural style. He lived there until 1912. The dwelling was built with plastered brick. It had a hangar, a penthouse, a cellar covered with a vault of bricks, and a roof with a wooden… frame that supported the ceramic or metal covers. Among the original features of the building there were the wooden plinth , the metallic hood, the windows, the doors and built-in wardrobes. Currently, the building became the seat of the Romanian Order of Architects. They have restored it with the aim of contributing to the recovery of the cultural tradition and raise awareness over spiritual heritage.
