About this artwork
This work took 5 years from the initial idea to its completion. Five years ago, I read the Holy Quran for the first time, and my life was turned upside down; I simply understood how I should live from then on—without complications, without hesitation, and without long, arduous searches. This realization came naturally because that beauty—and, at the same time, the unfathomable depth of meaning—seemed to draw me back to that moment when I understood…
that art is my calling. My works are imbued with my understanding of the Holy Quran, but for a long time I could not find a visual expression for my understanding of the “straight path”—the path of the heart, the path of divine providence and faith,
