About this artwork
Sometimes, a seeming simple work of art can be very difficult to complete. This work took the better part of a year to complete to satisfaction, with many iterations until landing on what made me very happy. Under the guise of abstraction lies a very real octopus tentacle and a study for a larger work that is currently in progress. Sometimes, an artist has to be okay with potentially ruining a work to find the end. Lucky for me, it ended well.…

Law Blank is an experienced American artist whose works have featured in exhibitions, prizes and permanent collections throughout the US since the 1980s.
