About this artwork
This diptych is composed of two canvases. The left canvas is 36"x48" and the right canvas is 36"x72". Hung together they create a painting 3'x10' overall. It is an imaginary landscape drawn from memories of my travels throughout the southwestern U.S. over the past fifty years.

Lawrence Lee is an established American artist whose works have featured in prizes, exhibitions and permanent collections throughout the United States. An avid reader, he became fascinated by a book about art in high school and never looked back, going on to obtain a degree in Fine Arts and a career as an art teacher. Now an accomplished painter, he composes works that contain first impressions of realism with highly stylized detail, causing each viewer to contemplate, second-guess and closely engage with every vibrant, imaginative painting.
