About this artwork
The older I get, the more color I seem to want in my life. For the past year or so, I have enjoyed fresh flowers on my dining room table and in my studio. Luckily, as an artist, I get to use as much color as I want in my paintings, and I have been interested to see more and more color infusing my abstract works.

Lawrence Lee is an established American artist whose works have featured in prizes, exhibitions and permanent collections throughout the United States. An avid reader, he became fascinated by a book about art in high school and never looked back, going on to obtain a degree in Fine Arts and a career as an art teacher. Now an accomplished painter, he composes works that contain first impressions of realism with highly stylized detail, causing each viewer to contemplate, second-guess and closely engage with every vibrant, imaginative painting.
