About this artwork
I am thrilled to share that my painting 'Effervescent' has been acquired by the esteemed Hilbert Museum of California Art, late in 2023. This is a tremendous honor for me, and I am delighted that my work will be part of their magnificent collection, alongside the masterpieces of California artists. The story behind the painting began when I met the talented, London Vale, at the Bowers Museum art opening, where we both had the privilege of being…
juried into the California Gold show. London, an accomplished artist and actor, mesmerized me with her "Academy Award" style dress. I asked her to pose, and decided to pair her elegant pose with mid-century modern architecture and a graceful whippet. To make it more whimsical, I felt she could be blowing a sky full of playful bubbles. I am immensely grateful to London for bringing her unique charm to the concept.
