About this artwork
Metropolis is named after a film of the same name, a film I studied while earning my masters degree. The film is about a utopian society where the rich live above the city in skyscrapers, while the mistreated workers live underneath the city.
The creator of the film was inspired by his visit to New York City, you can see his influence throughout the film. Many of the Skyscrapers look similar to those seen in NYC.
Many of my works are also inspired… by NYC, the birthplace of architecture and culture of America
