About this artwork
Painting on silk has been the perfect solution for me to paint large and enjoy the fluidity that watercolors give by using a water based paint specific for silk. I use charmeuse 'the mercedes of silk' which lends itself to spontaneity and vivid colors. This view is close to my house, and it just screams ' SUMMER' !!!! Which after the long winters we endure here in northeastern Pennsylvania, it is wonderful to remember it all year long!
