About this artwork
Twentieth work in the series. In this work, as in the eighteenth, the artist approaches the representation of the unconscious in a violent way. This work represents, like the numbers 15, 16 and 18, an evolution compared to the previous works as it manifests aggressive gestures. Starting from the left, the work looks like a sort of rock suspended on a sort of emotional magma. There are scratches (made with a grinder) that not only affect the kind…
of "rock" that represents our unconscious but the very background/place in which it lives. Compared to other works in which the manifestation of the unconscious has always been represented in more or less gentle, calm forms, now the same unconscious screams, beats, scratches our soul. as if he wanted to free the most violent and angry things we hide from the eyes of the real world. the work, on a wooden support, is made with aluminum and water-based enamels.
