About this artwork
This is part of a series of contemporary outsider interpretations of Native American Southwestern ceremonial dance. Spiritual dress and tribal traditions captured in expressionist colors and iconography. Because of the special pigments use to paint these pieces, these paintings only reveal their mystery under uv light. All work is on heavy duty stretcher bars approximately 2 inches deep and need no further framing. Further images available on request…

Len Agrella is an experienced artist based in the United States whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally. In addition, his art is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Northern Arizona. Identifying as a contemporary colorist, Agrella employs the colors of the Southwest, as they manifest themselves through him. Through his vibrant abstractions, he endeavors to capture the essence of his subjects.
