About this artwork
This encaustic painting is an exploration in colour, texture and movement. It has a purple and teal palette which was inspired by the fading sky light from my art studio window during a recent storm. It is a dramatic and bold abstract piece. The piece is frameless but will command a room.

Len Collins is a Canadian painter who uses encaustic wax in order to express his deepest thoughts and feelings. He has previously worked with an art therapist in order to focus on his creative energy and evoke the emotion of his inner demons. His use of hot wax comes from a desire of intense color and textural density.
