About this artwork
Eva is the second work in the "mirrors" series.
I like this series very much, precisely because of its uncertainty - or perhaps better said, because of the freedom it offers.
Do you see a sunrise? An evening sky? A fire? Or something completely different? Even though “mirrors” seems like a series of fabulous nature photos, it is actually a democratic reflection surface. Like a magic mirror, “mirrors” shows each viewer what is intended for them,… what they expect, what they wish for or what they fear.
Each gradient presents a unique reflection. What is the same in all images, however, is their infinite depth and the sense of calm they convey.

Lena Barsnick is an expressionist painter from Munich. With her studio "the sentiment" she processes highly pigmented colors and fluorescent pigments to create large-format, expressive compositions. Her works tingle in the eye and create a deep emotional resonance in the viewer: "My art should touch other people as much as it touches me."
