Park 2 - 2025 - Oil on canvas - 85 x 95 cm
With this work, I invite the viewer to experience a moment of absolute peace and contemplation. Inspired by the gentle geometry and tranquil atmosphere of well-maintained parklands, the interplay of light, space, and nature is central to my work, Park 2.
The expansive, green lawn dominates the composition, almost automatically drawing the eye across the gentle, undulating paths in the grass to the dense… tree line in the background. The interplay of different shades of green was particularly important to me – from the light, almost pastel tones of the wide field to the deep, cool shadows in the thicket and shrubs in the foreground.
By consciously omitting human figures or urban distractions, I wanted to create a timeless scene that unfolds a calming, almost meditative effect. It is a retreat on canvas, offering space to breathe.
