About this artwork
This artwork is inspired by the turmoil in the world today. Through use of bright, saturated colors I try to assert life despite the complexities and disruptions that have affected everyone recently. Abstract detail in my artworks is open to interpretation by the viewer. It can represent thought process or it can be something that is beyond my own understanding: everyone see in it in something different and personal. My works is inspired not only…
by contemporary events but also by music, science, language and philosophy. To make sure my work is of archival and withstands aging, wear and tear, I only use the highest quality artistic materials: Golden acrylic paints on durable Belgian linen.

« Believe in the purity of the creative process and don't let it be contaminated by external factors. »
Leo Kogan is an award-winning painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in the Netherlands whose works have been exhibited nationally. Since he believes that the creative process is mostly intuitive, he takes care not to conceptualize his art, which he sees as counter-intuitive.
Kogan's painterly compositions feature vibrant colors and teem with moving shapes and textures. He paints using traditional media which includes acrylics, oils, watercolors, and ink, but is also fond of digital sketching, screen printing, and sculpture.
