About this artwork
This portrait of Francisco de Goya, one of the most important artists in the history of art, is part of the SOULS series. I focused more on reflecting the soul and spirit of the subjects than on their likeness. I tried to convey some of the power of this revolutionary painter, who wanted modernity, progress, and peace for Spain.
