Between chaos and memory
In the midst of an era marked by crisis, art finds its voice in what others discard. Conceived as a monument to a country's decline, this work, composed of ferrous metals (Fe₂), currency, and industrial debris, seeks through its form to leave a trace oxidized by time, as if the material itself were crying out to be heard.
It's not just a sculpture: it's a tangible testament to the deterioration of a system, a metaphor for… social, economic, and environmental decay. Metal, once a symbol of progress and power, now appears defeated, stained by the passage of time and human neglect. Waste, once functional, takes on a new meaning here, charged with criticism and melancholy.
This piece doesn't seek to beautify chaos, but to reveal it. It's a broken mirror reflecting our recent history: a world that once shone like a new coin, but is now slowly rusting.

Training From an early age, he showed an inclination for drawing and visual exploration. He trained at academic art institutions in Cuba, where he developed a solid technical foundation in composition, while also becoming interested in contemporary conceptual approaches. During his student years, his early work revolved around figurative representation, and he participated in several exhibitions and group events.
