About this artwork
The umbrella pine, or "pinus pinea", acquires a human connotation in my eyes.
In this painting I wanted to represent the gradual disappearance of trees from the Earth, which will eventually end up being exhibited in museums.
The man is present and absent at the same time, hence the representation of his silhouette alone.

LEONORA CARPI
France
Born into an artistic background, Leonora Carpi mainly uses oil paint on various supports. With a predilection for umbrella pine, she creates exciting contrasts of light and color, preparing her supports with a layer of acrylic color. She has retained a predilection for precise brushstrokes, refined by years of painting restoration. Demandingness and meticulousness structure a contemplation and give it its style: clarity, purity and simplicity.
