"Heart of a Refugee" is a poignant visual exploration of displacement, resilience, and the invisible home we carry within ourselves. This piece was born from deeply felt empathy for those who are forced to leave everything behind. When a person loses their physical home, their own heart must become their ultimate shelter.
I chose a single, airy shade of blue because it feels like memory, hope, and the vast, open skies under which many difficult journeys take place. The mirroring lines flowed naturally, representing a spirit trying to put itself back together and heal. This artwork is part of an ongoing exploration of inner landscapes and human survival.
