The art monster is the eccentric, arrogant, male-read stereotype of the artist. We are, as a group, superficial, vain, and self-important. Passionate, larger-than-life. My brutalized body offers a mighty insight into the feeling of utter wrong-sameness, the traumatic crash of two personalities (true! personalities). Two self-important, vain, arrogant, passionate art monsters.
