About this artwork
This ink drawing on paper captures the playfulness and curiosity of a cat interacting with a flock of butterflies. I sought to create a lively and dynamic atmosphere. The composition is structured as follows: the cat, in the center-right, is the undisputed protagonist, while the butterflies flutter elegantly on the left.
The use of line is a distinctive element. The cat is depicted with thick, bold lines, defining its silhouette and the details… of its fur and face. The butterflies, however, present a different stylistic approach: some are drawn with a continuous line, a technique that gives them an ethereal, almost suspended look. The others, while maintaining a light style, are created with separate lines that highlight their wings and antennae. Add this work to your collection to brighten up your home.
