About this artwork
I have embraced my migratory background and my family’s history to shape my sense of identity and belonging. Like birds that build their nests from found objects—such as sticks, branches, grass, and mud—I have also created my own sense of home through collages, composed of images I have gathered along the way.
My journey has led me to understand that home is not just a physical place, but a state of being that I carry within me. It is the space… where my desires, belongings, and expectations intertwine into a feeling of belonging and self-acceptance.
