About this artwork
Title: Hyperbole
"In this work, I wanted to explore the tension between the physical exertion of a single moment and the fragile nature of our desires. To me, Hyperbole is not just an exaggeration—it is a way to make the invisible visible.
The human face, contorted in an almost Herculean effort to blow a simple dandelion, represents the immense emotional and physical energy we often invest in the most fleeting things. We strain, we tighten every… muscle, and we focus our entire being on a wish that can be scattered by a single breath.
By pushing the textures of the skin and the intensity of the expression to their limits, I aimed to capture that internal 'overstatement' we all feel. It’s a study of contrast: the heavy, grounded weight of the human form versus the ethereal, weightless seeds of the dandelion. This piece is an invitation to look at our own struggles and dreams through a magnified lens—to see the monumental scale of our smallest hopes."

Credentials
- Works on commission
I am a Lithuanian artist with more than three decades of experience in visual art, rooted in fresco, bas-relief, and monumental painting. Shaped by European cultural heritage and the old masters, I developed my practice through large-scale commissions for public and private interiors, where I learned to work with structure, surface, atmosphere, and emotional presence. Although I have worked in art for over 30 years, I began focusing on canvas painting only three years ago, which is why my exhibition history in this field is still emerging. In my paintings, I explore the human figure, quiet psychological tension, and the fragile balance between beauty and vulnerability. My wider practice also includes children’s book illustrations, album cover designs, and I was selected to paint for the film The Peasants.
