About this artwork
Robirda was a guinea fowl that lived at the artist's studio. At one point she and the bird and were the only ones left on the property as it was slated for destruction. She would come into the studio and keep Mitchell company as they both worried about the future. She thought maybe the bird knew what was to happen. Fortunately, the old mill property was saved and they were able to stay.

Linda Mitchell is a prizewinning American artist with international exposure. Her mixed media paintings and installations are populated by animals- both real and imagined.
