A harvest of multi colored eggs from my backyard chickens grabbed my attention and inspired me to do this painting symbolizing man’s struggle with equality, race and class in civilizations through history.

Linda Schroeter is an award-winning American artist whose paintings have been exhibited in the United States. Creating in a contemporary realistic style, her works center around still-life and wildlife genres. Schroeter is drawn to the animal and natural world intermingled with human-made objects, which are imbued with symbolic meaning. She creates from life, as much as possible, and works in the traditional painting methods of the Dutch Masters, employing oils on linen, canvas, or metal.
