In the African bush at night I experienced an intense emotional charge running through my body, a heightened sense of fear and excitement to what one might find beyond the next turn. The leopard was on the hunt, on my African Safari, painted from imagination and my night photo references of leopards we tracked down. Such beautiful creatures and stealth hunters.

Linda Schroeter is an award-winning American artist whose paintings have been exhibited in the United States. Creating in a contemporary realistic style, her works center around still-life and wildlife genres. Schroeter is drawn to the animal and natural world intermingled with human-made objects, which are imbued with symbolic meaning. She creates from life, as much as possible, and works in the traditional painting methods of the Dutch Masters, employing oils on linen, canvas, or metal.
