About this artwork
Ordered Stillness is an abstract work about tranquility that arises from structure.
On wood, warm, earthy layers of color meet clearly defined horizontal and vertical lines. These linear elements organize the surface without closing it off. They give the image structure and rhythm, while soft transitions and visible traces of the work process maintain openness.
The composition moves between precision and letting go. Structure is not used as a… limitation, but as a prerequisite for stillness.
Ordered Stillness unfolds its effect quietly and continuously. It demands no attention, but rather holds space.

I paint to reveal what lies beneath the surface. I find my inspiration in moments of stillness, in natural structures, in the play of light and movement, but also in inner processes that cannot be expressed in words. For me, art is a translation of feelings into form and color.
Structure plays a special role here: It gives my paintings depth and stability, just as stability is necessary in life for new things to emerge. Using sand, marble dust, or texture paste, I create surfaces that become tangible. They invite us to experience them not only with our eyes, but also internally.
I love it because painting means freedom to me. It's the place where I can let go, where chaos and clarity, wildness and calm can meet. My motivation lies in capturing this tension and opening up spaces where viewers can rediscover their own sensibilities.
