While giving the feeling of nature, these environments are effectively man made. In this painting, the viewer is playing the role of observer and of outsider. we are not participants in the game, nor are we participating spectators. Like the parks themselves, we are located in the halfway zone between man-made space…

Lisa Gronseth is an award-winning American painter whose works have been widely displayed throughout the United States. Much of her works concern the effects of globalization and are inspired by her extensive travels throughout the globe. Gronseth also explores reactions to being human in a constructed environment, simulations of nature and culture in architecture, man-made environments, as well as the global experience of women.
