About this artwork
This painting was inspired by the beautiful warm tones of the buildings and vines that form arches in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome. I often find inspiration when traveling abroad, and no more so than in Italy! This painting has warm and cool tones, and is framed with a beautiful simple black frame.

Lisa McLaughlin is a painter and photographer based in the United States whose works have been widely exhibited nationally. Having worked all over the world with touring musicians for the past thirty years has given her the opportunity to explore many cities and museums, which have inspired her art. In addition, McLaughlin's abstract expressionist compositions are influenced by texture and worn architecture.
