About this artwork
This work is pure abstract expressionism, but I painted it not long after a trip to Italy, and I named it after the popular, bustling Caffe Gilli in Florence, where you can find the most beautiful treats and you can really enjoy some people watching in the piazza. This piece has whimsy and movement and I think it exudes joy!

Lisa McLaughlin is a painter and photographer based in the United States whose works have been widely exhibited nationally. Having worked all over the world with touring musicians for the past thirty years has given her the opportunity to explore many cities and museums, which have inspired her art. In addition, McLaughlin's abstract expressionist compositions are influenced by texture and worn architecture.
