About this artwork
In creating this piece, I poured my spirit into crafting a swirling dance of light and darkness. The interplay of acrylic, charcoal, and graphite layers captures a tempest of emotions, reflecting life's perpetual cycles. It's a visual symphony meant to evoke a deep, visceral response, stirring the soul of any space it inhabits with its dynamic energy and thought-provoking ambiguity.
I am attempting to capture a sense of place after numerous Spring… visits to the river Otter near my studio. Initially I created pastel en plein air studies to capture the rhythm, sounds and experience in the landscape; these informed the the final abstracts.
The painting is signed on the front and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
