About this artwork
We’ve probably all faced challenges in the last year or even in our lifetime. I am curious about how the body and mind holds stress and ways we cope, recoup and build resilience during challenging times. For me a walk in nature on a wild and windy day just helps to blow away any cobwebs. In honour of our wild, creative and free-spirited parts in rebuilding ourselves. Inspired by the exquisite countryside surrounding my home studio. My studies in…
graphic design, movement psychotherapy and world travels all influence my art as well.
This painting forms part of an ongoing series about body and mind health. I’ve always been interested in psychology and was influenced by the book — The Body Keeps the Score: Mind, Brain and Body in the Transformation of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk.
Hand-blocked and sides painted grey (unframed).
The painting is signed on the back and the front surface is protected with UV safe varnish. Ready to hang with wire.
