Seeing spots when you're feeling a little dizzy.
This series explores the density of what you observe around you - seeing things through glass or squinting your eyes - perhaps it's the bubbles in champagne, the droplets of condensation on the outside of a cocktail, that fuzzy feeling in your head when you're feeling a bit dizzy, snowflakes swirling around in a snowstorm, the balloons at a celebration or a group of people at a party. The density… of individual things gathering en masse to create the visual order of a whole.

Lisa Roy is a Canadian artist whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in the United States. She describes each of her works as being an "intuitive experiment in layers of color, shape, and texture". Roy draws inspiration from nature, her immediate surroundings, and her memories.
