Life's path takes us many places we never thought we would go. I used to have a real fear of the future. One day someone challenged me to thank God for something I had never thanked him for before. I said a few things, then I said "thank you for the unknown". !!! What?! Did I just say that? The unknown is scary. Or... the unknown is exciting. It's an adventure. My paintings are inspired by my life. This painting was inspired by a day hike my family and I went on together. I symbolism of the path stood out to me that day and I began to see this painting in my mind. The path goes forward over the hill and there is no way of knowing exactly what is beyond. Scary? Or exciting? You choose.
