About this artwork
“E la nave va sans toi” is a striking work that transports the viewer into a surreal landscape where the sea has mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind only wrecks of ships scattered on arid ground. The most intriguing element of this scene is the presence of placid cows grazing in front of these maritime remains, creating a striking contrast between the pastoral tranquility and the abandon of the ancient giants of the seas.
Known for her unique… style and ability to fuse disparate elements, here Lisbeth uses shipwrecks as symbols of a glorious, bygone past, while cows embody resilience and the continuity of life. The landscape, devoid of water, evokes a post-apocalyptic era where nature reclaims its rights, transforming the maritime setting into a pastoral field. Destructive work of the hand of man? Everyone will see their own future there. This work will be presented at the Salon des Beaux Arts in Boulogne-billancourt.
« [I seek to] be free while accessing vulnerability, to call the viewer to that which is intangible. »
