About this artwork
That Park in Beaune was inspired by a quiet moment I experienced during an autumn afternoon in the heart of Beaune, France. The explosion of colors—reds, golds, oranges—felt almost theatrical, yet deeply peaceful. I was drawn to the contrast between the intense foliage and the stillness of the water, where every tree was mirrored like a memory.
I used palette knives to layer the textures of the leaves and trees, capturing the richness and depth… of the scene. For me, this painting is about the beauty of stillness, the poetry of change, and the places that linger in our hearts long after we’ve left.
Lisett Llorens is a primarily self-taught artist whose life across different countries and continents has deeply influenced her artistic vision. Specializing in acrylics, she expertly uses palette knives and layering techniques to create textured, vibrant compositions that explore both the emotional and natural world. Her style merges contemporary impressionism with abstract pointillism, capturing moments of stillness, transformation, and light. Through rich surfaces and radiant color, her work invites viewers into contemplative landscapes inspired by memory, travel, and the quiet strength of nature.
