About this artwork
While quarantined home during the pandemic, on the outskirts of Bucharest, I found inspiration in my previous plane travels and the gravity cancelling feeling which flying gives.
The serene calm of mist rolling in layers over the mountain peaks evokes depth and a dreamlike stillness, inviting to peace and reflection. The minimalistic touch keeps the focus on nature’s quiet beauty, filling the space with a soothing energy.
Oil on canvas. Size 50… x 70 cm. Original artwork, one of a kind. Signed on the back. Painted on the edges, too. Unframed.
Livia-Doina Stanciu, a Romanian painter based in Bucharest, primarily works in oils, drawing on formal training and a deep personal journey from education and management to visual art. She masterfully blends realistic and quasi-impressionistic styles, often infusing elements of abstraction and minimalism while maintaining luminous detail and atmospheric depth. Her artworks, inspired by nature, travel, and inner landscapes, evoke a contemplative tranquility, offering viewers a profound sense of beauty and emotional resonance.
