Later he read that the name Shankara is a way of naming Shiva, and also the name of an important philosopher. but the artist tells that he did not paint a philosopher, nor the representation of shiva. I only paint a man who was boarding a train, with kind eyes.

« Art is not food for the fiscal body. It is a food for the sensitivity and the intellect. »
Spanish painter Lluis Clar has shown work in solo and group exhibitions across Europe. Working on canvas or wood, Clar applies oil paints mixed with newspaper to give it an aged look. Interested in exploring human beings, Clar works to make abstract and specific images to represent the totality of his subjects' existence through a single image.
